Mobile and Controller Play

Nebulous advertises mobile + controller for a reason: the Roblox solo bullet-hell by latent//state (LostVolBytes permission) is not a PC-only demo. This guide is the device layer on top of Controls. If your thumbs lose rockets, your deadzone eats micro-strafe, or a notch covers a panic button, you will blame “the Guardian” when the hardware setup failed first.

Released 2026-06-29, still maxPlayers = 1, 90+ upgrades, 31 fights. PC navigation overflows extra guides to the Guides Hub—start here even if this title sits behind View all.

What changes on touch

Keyboard players can hold fire and tap rockets without looking. Touch players share a glass rectangle with movement, aim, UI, and ads of real life (notifications). Your job is to shrink travel:

  • Put rocket / usable on a large, reachable control—never a tiny corner under a thumb rest.
  • Prefer a stable orbit over flick dodges. L13 shield circles punish jerky thumbs (Level Spikes).
  • Collect loot on the exit curve, not as a second suicide mission across the densest emitters.
  • Lock brightness and silence notifications before Guard exams.

If the official UI lets you remap, remap once and stop tinkering mid-Guardian.

What changes on controller

Gamepad is closer to twin-stick heaven if you set it up:

  • Bind rockets to a bumper you can hit without releasing aim.
  • Raise inner deadzone just enough to kill stick drift; too high and L10 wing-lure micro-moves disappear.
  • Keep fire on a trigger you can hold through reload windows—clip and reload upgrades matter more when you cannot mash as fast as a mouse.
  • Test the bind in a farm level (How to Farm) before Guard 1.

Shop rules do not change

Device is not permission to buy early size or health. A bigger hitbox is worse when your thumb is already late. Follow Early Game Upgrades and the Upgrade Checklist: damage, clip, reload, bounce, rockets. Mid-run drones help when you cannot aim every plate (Drones and Shields).

Group +15% resources still matters—mobile sessions are often shorter, so the bonus buys the spike you will not have time to farm twice.

Guardian exams on the go

Use the Session Planner so a bus ride does not become a finale attempt.

  • Commute / 30 min: literacy on L5 or L13 only.
  • Evening / 60 min: one funded Guardian from Beat Guardians.
  • Desk + charger / 90 min: finale or Cleared push.

Charge the device. Overheating phones drop frames; dropped frames look like “unfair patterns.”

Common mobile deaths (and the real fix)

Fail tellUsually notUsually is
Died mid-reload“Need more HP”Clip/reload + keep firing
Missed rocket open“Bad RNG core”Rocket bind too far / empty stock
Drifted into a ring“Touch is impossible”Sensitivity too high, orbit too tight
Loot wipe“Greed is mandatory”Exit-path vacuum only

Controller comfort checklist

  1. Deadzone tuned in a farm arena, not during Guard 3.
  2. Rocket on bumper, not a face button that steals aim.
  3. Vibration low enough that it does not fake a hit.
  4. Same upgrade spine as keyboard pilots.

Prestige on alternate devices

Untouchable (~0.1%) is a cruel ask on a bouncing phone. Hunt Guard stamps and Cleared first. If you want restriction prestige, sit down with a charged controller and a calm room.

Nebulous on mobile is the same mountain with a smaller steering wheel. Reach the rocket, hold the orbit, buy the gun, farm the gate. The block sky does not care which input you used—only whether the phase ended before you did.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Nebulous pilots.

Can I clear Nebulous on a phone?

Yes. Mobile is supported. Keep rockets reachable, orbits stable, and shops on the same damage-first spine as PC.

What controller bind matters most?

Rocket on a bumper you can press without dropping aim. Test it in a farm level before Guardian 1.

Should mobile players buy more health?

No. Extra size or early HP makes late patterns harder. Buy clip, reload, damage, and rockets instead.

Is Untouchable realistic on mobile?

It is a ~0.1% badge. Clear Guards and Cleared first; attempt restriction prestige on a stable setup.
